In this update AJHQ released the Greely's Hideout den.  The friendship armor was also introduced as well as a video from the series "Sketch Jam."  AJHQ also announces that they're counting votes from their last den item contest.

In this update the seasonal adventure, Special Delivery comes to jamaa.  AJHQ also released the brand new den "Greely's Hideout."  Friendship armor is also announced and added to the diamond shop. In honor of of jammers adopting over 50,000 pet pandas AJHQ adopted a panda at a REAL LIFE ZOO!  Animal Jam also announced a den item contest!

In this update AJHQ came out with a brand new animal, the owl!  The results of the den contest are in, and the winner was the pizza parlor den set! The pizza parlor den set has also been added into stores.

In this update, pet geckos are added to the Diamond shop for 3 diamonds.  Spring bunnies are also announced as a gift card bonus.

In this update a brand new summer themed den, known as the beach house is added.  A new den item contest is also announced.

Summer Carnival has returned, a reminder on how to use tickets in the Summer Carnival, in the Best Guess game, more questions have been added, in the Conservation Museum, you can now access the Appondale Theater,  otters are now traveling, a new animal will be coming soon (clue: secret hidden in Jamaa), and on the last page there is an advertisement: if you redeem a retail gift card, for a limited time you will receive the Spring Bunny animal and den item set.

Jamaa Journal – June 10, 2015 Vol 148

Pet Piglets are available in the Diamond Shop, a new large group adventure, Battle for the Beacon, is available for all jammers. Also, the Cloud Party has arrived; a new party for flying animals only. In Jam-Mart Furniture, the Sand Castle Den Item set is available (some for members and some for all jammers), and finally, Llamas are coming soon! There is also a new featured clip, called "Llama Trauma" that you can watch in Jammer Central.

Jamaa Journal – July 9, 2015 Vol 150

A new feature, similar to Twitter, is now "being tested" by members: the Jammer Wall. Also, there is a video on the Jammer Wall on the second page. Due to popular vote, the pet peacock is now available in the Diamond Shop. Also due to vote, the Excavation Item Set is now available in Jam Mart Furniture. If you redeem a retail gift card, for a limited time you can receive a pet ferret and den item set. Finally, hyenas are traveling IN TWO WEEKS, aka the next Jamaa Journal release date. The Bounce House Den is available in the Diamond Shop, the Jamaalidays (in July) party, aka the Jamaaliday Jam "might" show up from July 24, 25, and 26, the Battle for the Beacon party list adventure will only be playable for a few more weeks, new items at the Summer Carnival, hyenas are now traveling, and on the last page there is a reminder that you can receive a pet ferret and den item set if you redeem a retail gift card for a limited time.

Pet Elephants have arrived in the Diamond Shop, as well as the Wind Armor set, there is a Lynx Minibook in the Chamber of Knowledge, an improved trading system allows for fairer trades, September 22nd is World Rhino Day so members can now purchase a rhino for 50% off, Kangaroos are now traveling, there is a teaser for autumn and Night of the Phantoms, and on the last page there are a few trading tips for jammers to prevent scamming and make trading safer, fairer, and fun!

Bitter Sweets returned, as well as the Haunted Manner, spooky party, and pet bats. A new game icon was added at the top, and the theater shop was added in Sarepia Forest. Wolf awareness week was in this update, as well as world animal day banners.

This update marks the Arrival of Night Of The Phantoms, steampunk parlor den items, and Halloween clothing! 2 Million pieces of candy were collected in Bitter Sweets, and there was rumor of a new animal.

Arctic foxes arrived, and nonmembers can now change colors! The PlayWild app can now be used for Iphones and Ipads. Pet turkeys returned to Jamaa, and a fox minibook was added in the Chamber Of Knowledge. Jamaalidays gifts and theJamaaliday Jam are returning soon. Pet reindeer were added to Jamaa again.

Jamaaliday House returned, as well as the Jamaaliday Rescue adventure. Deer returned, along with a silly Jamaaliday video. Jamaaliday gifts, pet reindeer, and the Jamaaliday gift bag returned. Last is a reminder that Arctic Foxes were in the Diamond Shop.

Jammers are now able to host their own special parties, pet penguins are available in the Diamond Shop, Animal Jam - Play Wild! news is now available in Jammer Central, over two weeks of Jamaaliday Rescue (seasonal adventure) Jammers have found over 300 million gifts, the New Year's Party is coming soon, an advertisement for the special Jamaaliday items and Daily Gifts, and finally if you redeem a retail gift card, for a limited time you will receive a polar bear and den item set.

The Winter Palace den is available in the Diamond Shop, all games produce double gems for a limited time, a new animal will be coming, and the clue is in this issue of the Journal, Polar Bears will soon return, Club Members can now host their own special parties, and an ad for the pet snow leopard and item set (when you redeem a retail card for a limited time).

Polar Bears have returned to the Diamond Shop, pet armadillos are available in the Diamond Shop as well, Goats are confirmed to come to Jamaa, a poll is able to be voted upon by all Jammers so they can choose the next new animal, Special Delivery and the Friendship Festival (and the Friendship Party) have returned (for all Jammers), as well as the animated Friendship Armor set in the Diamond Shop, and on the last page, an ad stating if you redeem a retail gift card, for a limited time you can get a pet snow leopard and furniture items.

Jamaa Journal – February 4, 2016 Vol. 165

The Friendship Cottage den is now available in the Diamond Shop, the "Summer" Carnival is back for two weeks, a better chat system, an announcement that goats will soon come to Jamaa, plus a teaser video titled "Kidding Around," members can now have 500 items in their inventories, the next new animal brought to Jamaa will be voted on by the Jammers,  there are more options for the Jammer-hosted parties, and an announcement for the seasonal adventure, Special Delivery, on the last page.

Goats have arrived in the Diamond Shop, so the Goat Mini-book is now available in the Chamber of Knowledge, the Leap Year Party is back with some limited edition items, an announcement for National Polar Bear Day (February 27th) tell you to get a special polar bear item in the Conservation Museum, otters will be returning soon, the voting results ended with falcons as the Jammers' choice for new animal, an announcement regarding requested words for the default chat settings, the Lucky Party has returned, and members have more inventory for more pets.

Jamaa Journal – March 3, 2016 Vol. 167

Otters ave returned, pet Skunks have arrived, a new den, the Lucky Castle, is available in the Diamond Shop, the seasonal adventure Lucky Clovers has returned for all Jammers, the "Life at Sea" exhibit can be viewed in the Conservation Museum, there is an announcement for Pi Day and its special items, an ad for Animal Jam's app, Animal Jam - Play Wild! and its new features, and rhinos will be travelling in two weeks on March 17th.

Jamaa Journal – March 17, 2016 Vol. 168

The Spring Festival has returned, along with its seasonal adventure (for all Jammers), the Mushroom Hut den has returned, now it is easier to decorate your den since you can sort your items into categories (plants, furniture, wallpaper, and so on), the Daily Spin has even better prizes, and an ad for redeeming retail gift cars, for a limited time you can get a pet Snow Leopard and exclusive item set.

Jamaa Journal – March 31, 2016 Vol. 169

Pet Lemurs are now available in the Diamond Shop, the April Fools' Party has returned, falcons are confirmed to come to Jamaa, now you can search for specific accessories or den items when adding them to your trade list, recycling items is much easier as you can now recycle multiple items at a time, deer will be traveling on April 14th (in two weeks), and finally, you can get a pet hippo if you redeem a retail gift card for a limited time.

This update brought in lots of new features! It finally announced falcons, added the Flower Armor set to the Diamond Shop, updated and added new parties to the Jammer hosted parties list, announced the Earth Day banners around Jamaa, added an amazing new video advertising the falcons, titled "Blown Away," added a "Taking Flight" exhibit to the Conservation Museum, and the deer left for their travels. On the final page, there is an advertisement announcing pet hippos come free with any redeemed retail gift card.

Unfortunately, non members can no longer make masterpieces. However, over 500 THOUSAND masterpieces were made during the Jamaaliday season (when they were available to all jammers).

For National Geographic's celebration of penguins, all pet penguins and penguin animals are half off for a limited time! Also, dolphins will travel soon, and I believe this is the very first instance where an ocean only animal has travelled!

The Friendship Festival has FINALLY arrived! Also, members now have 1,000 slots for den items. The Friendship Cottage as well as the seasonal adventure, Special Delivery, have finally returned. AJHQ has re-announced the new chat features shared in last update's sneak peek. Remember, February 7th is Safer Internet Day! Check out the Online Safety Quiz in the Conservation Museum if you haven't already. Next, in honor of the National Geographic Kids International Photography Contest, you can now view some amazing photos at the Bulletin Board in Kimbara Outback! Finally Llamas will be returning soon, Pandas will be leaving, and it is your LAST CHANCE to purchase the Winter Animal Jam Box.

Another new member benefit is extremely helpful to those item hoarders; club members now can have up to ONE THOUSAND (1000) accessories! Also, the Lucky Castle den, Lucky Clovers adventure, and Lucky Party have returned along with exclusive new Clover Armor in the Diamond Shop. Eagles are traveling March 2nd, but Cougars will be arriving hopefully next update! Pi Day, March 14th, will be celebrated in AJ with exclusive returning items. Finally, there has been another update to the AJ chat system with suggestions that appear above the restricted (default”) /safe (“free”) chat bar. Enjoy these new features and Happy Jamming!

In this issue, several wacky and rare items were released into the Diamond Shop, including the "Spring Phantoms" set. The long anticipated Liza's Garden den has arrived and can also be purchased in the Diamond shop. Also, as many of you may have heard from the #Jambassadors , Club Members can now have up to 1,000 buddies. Cheetahs have returned, Snow Leopards will be returning soon, and the minigame, Fast Foodies is now available on this platform (previously from Animal Jam - Play Wild). The Spring Festival has sprung in Jamaa and has brought the zany April Fools' Party with it. The "Speed in Nature" exhibit has returned to the Conservation Museum, and finally, you can now get the Spring Bunny and den item set when you purchase an Animal Jam Retail Gift Card

In this issue, AJHQ announces you can go to the Diamond Shop and purchase an egg that will hatch into a MYSTERY PET in three days' time! Snow Leopards have returned, and so has the Cruise Ship Party. Polar Bears will be traveling on April 27th, and horses will be returning as well. Finally, on the last page, there is an advertisement for the Spring "Animal Jam Box," a monthly box with all kinds of goodies! You can order it here.
