Ever seen an oddly colored item with a "crafted" tag attached to it? Those items are crafted from blueprints and crafting crystals, and this article will show the basics to help you craft an item of your own!
What are Crafting Crystals and Blueprints?
Both crafting crystals and blueprints are needed to create a customized item. A blueprint is a crafting recipe that allows you to craft that item. Some examples of items craftable from blueprints include furry arm cuffs and the classic top hat. These blueprints need many crafting crystals before an item can be made.
How do I Get Crystals and Blueprints?
Crafting crystals and blueprints can be obtained in various ways. Some examples include the login calendar, golden shovels, and treasure hunts. Crafting crystals and blueprints can also be traded for or bought from players' shops.
I Have a Blueprint I Want to Use, What Next?
Great! Go to the Crafting Lab in The Lost Temple of Zios (The building that is Brady's Lab on AJ Classic), and go to the back wall. Click the button that looks like a blueprint, and you'll be thrown into a menu asking to craft Items or Crafting Crystals.
Colors like orange and frost can only be crafted in the crafting lab. These colors are made from combining other crystal colors like red or yellow, for example.
To use the blueprint, click the Items button. There you will see all the blueprints you own. Most blueprints are single-use, after creating an item you cannot make another one unless you have another blueprint. A popup says that the blueprint will disappear, but don't worry, the blueprint will only go away once you actually craft the item.
Crafting Time
Now that you're in the crafting menu, click a section of the blueprint you want to craft first. You'll see a set of holes to place crystals in.
If you tried to place in multiple different crystal colors, a percentage chance of each color pops up on the side. These percentages show how possible it is to get that color, so a smart idea if you have a rarer crystal color is to fill the whole section with that color crystal to 100% guarantee it gets chosen.
Every crystal spot has to be filled to craft the item you want. Once you fill them all up, press the craft button up top and enjoy the new item!
