Welcome Jammers to another Antsrulez article, this time we are going to be taking a glimpse at the mythical pet, kitsune!
What is a kitsune?
A kitsune is a trickster fox which originates from Japanese folklore. They are considered supernatural creatures with ‘godlike’ powers with paranormal abilities.
When did they come to Animal Jam?
The kitsune arrived into Animal Jam on June 17th, 2026.
How do I get a kitsune?
You can obtain a kitsune by a few ways:
Trading for one with another Jammer
Purchasing one from a Jammers shop
Trading in a wishing coin at the Wish Builder
To find the Wish Builder, all you need to do it head to the Lost Temple of Zios and locate Crystallis which is under a statue which looks like Zios.

How do I make a kitsune a playable animal?
You can make a kitsune a playable animal by two ways:
Levelling it up to level 5
Using a wish coin to grow it up
Then what needs to happen is you head to the Wish Builder and confirm that you want to grow your pet up and then it will ask for you to confirm the growth of your pet kitsune. Here it will either take a wishing coin, or it will see the pet kitsune is level 5 and in that case no coin will be taken in exchange for the pet to grow up.
