Hey, Jammers! Today I’m going to be guiding you through one of the Animal Jam minigames, A Puppy’s Tale. This high-stakes game can only be found in the land of Appondale. (And in the minigames tab of course!) Now without further ado, let’s get into the guide!
While searching for your lost bone, you stumble across a mysterious forest crawling with phantoms. And what’s this? The phantoms have your bone? Oh no, this is NOT happening. It’s time to get your bone back and defeat the phantoms once and for all!
Basic Moves
Listed here are all of the movements you must make in order to defeat the phantoms.

Chapters and Lore
Chapter one- Chapter one starts off in the mysterious forest as mentioned before, you are introduced to all of the basic moves and challenges. Since it’s the first and the easiest chapter, the moves you shall decide will be simple. They usually consist of one swipe and don’t require much skill.
Chapter two- This chapter starts off in the phantom castle. You are going to be making “compound moves” or moves that are grouped together. I recommend evaluating the moves you must make, then deciding when to make each move to save time. You will also be encountering more phantoms in this chapter, so prepare yourself!
Chapter three- Chapter three is one of the trickier ones in the book. You will be making compound moves more often, and there are guard phantoms who are tricky to defeat. Unlike the regular phantoms, the guard phantom has no “knock back” when you make a move. The phantom will simply move towards you, and it’s your job to defeat it before it defeats you!
Chapter four- Oh no… I think you’ve stumbled upon the throne room! In the throne room awaits the phantom prince who will spring up and surprise attack you! He has a whole phantom army you must fight alongside him. Make sure to watch the prince from behind the throne, when he starts his evil laugh, it's your time to strike! Much like the guards, the prince has no knock-back. Make sure to move quickly!
Chapter five- Look out! The phantom king is right outside the castle and ready to battle! He is the most difficult phantom to defeat, but never fear, you can do it! This chapter is a test of your reflexes and skill. There isn’t much time to think here, so just go for it! As you progress through the chapter you notice the phantom king’s eye getting redder and redder.. And all of a sudden, boom! The phantom king explodes into a million bones for you to chomp on! And what’s this? Your favorite bone is back! You did it!
