Minigame Pairs - WEEK FIVE

Hey, Jammers! Welcome back to minigame pairs, the series in which I guide Jammers on two minigames in one article. Today’s featured minigames are Touch Pool and Overflow. Now without further ado, let’s get into the guides!

Touch Pool

The goal of touch pool is to touch as many creatures as possible in order to win gems and other prizes. While this game doesn’t have that large of a gem payout, it's still an entertaining game that you can earn awesome prizes from.

  • Have you ever noticed that if you click on the “Tierney Thys” sign at the entrance to Tierney’s Aquarium, a video will pop up? In the video, she introduces herself and her aquarium. When she mentions Touch Pool, she says, “But, be gentle with those critters!” She actually said this as a hint to how to play the game correctly! If you make harsh or sudden movements, the Hermit Crabs and a few other sea creatures will actually hide under the sand. However, if you make calm and “gentle” movements, there’s a higher chance that you’ll be able to add that creature to your log.

  • Plushies you can obtain: Hermit Crab Plushie, Sea Urchin Plushie, Horseshoe Crab Plushie, Sea Star Plushie, Ray Plushie, Sea Slug plushie.

Overflow

The objective of Overflow is to rotate the square tiles in such a way that it creates a path for the water to run through. Some levels include bridges that you can rotate. When using the bridges, there are two ways the water can run. As you increase levels, there will be more tiles for you to rotate. In some levels, each tile will be of use, but in others, some will not. Therefore, you must pick and choose which tiles you want to rotate. I personally find it easier to take the shortest route, but if you’re looking for more gems, you should find the longest possible route. The longer the pathway, the more gems you will obtain. One tile=two gems. This game is pretty self-explanatory, so I do not feel the need to provide any additional information. That’s all for today’s Minigame Pair! I know this was a bit of a shorter one, but nonetheless, I hope that you found these guides informative and interesting. What minigames do YOU want to see next? Leave us a comment and the team will do our best to get to them. With all that being said, I’ll see you next week. Bye!!!
