Hello everyone, my name is antsrulez. On Monday the 18th of December at around 6pm GMT, myself and other fellow jammers noticed that Animal Jam Classic had routinely updated. We were thrilled about this until we made the puzzling discovery that the adventure (that is well known for its extensive prize variation) was closed off. The in-game and Discord chats became flooded with utter disbelief and widespread confusion. Many who had access to a flying animal at this time went to investigate the situation further due to the absurdity of these circumstances. The adventure portal, which is located at the Adventure Base Camp, has been closed off by emeralds and cannot even be accessed by the drop-down menu on the world map. Many jammers are trying to piece together the puzzle of this occurrence, but luckily the people over at Animal Jam Headquarters released a statement regarding the change made in the most recent update:
“AJ Classic's "The Forgotten Desert" Adventure has been disabled due to unforeseen technical issues. Right now, we don't have an estimate of when it will become available again. We apologize for the inconvenience!”
Animal Jam Headquarters are implying in this quote that it will, at some point, be available again, hopefully the delay won’t be too long. Some players have been known to use certain exploits and cheats in the adventure, and these activities have caused the game to have some problems, hence AJHQ’s mention of “technical issues''.
So how are players reacting to the unexpected closure of the adventure portal?
Well… they’re holding community gathering services to share their fond memories of their time being able to complete the adventure. And some are even rearranging their dens to recreate a similar replica of the adventure to roleplay in their dens with other fellow jammers.
