Earning and saving gems in Animal Jam can be a real chore. Gems are a crucial part of Animal Jam, as you use them to buy most items, and are even used to play certain minigames. Though earning hundreds of thousands of gems seems near impossible, it’s not! There are a few tips and tricks on how to earn and save your gems!
Earning
The first way to earn gems is to play minigames. Now, I know playing minigames can get quite repetitive and boring. Playing music, calling a friend, or listening to audiobooks are all great ways to keep your mind occupied while playing.
Play adventures! Adventures are a GREAT way to earn gems! You can find gems in chests scattered throughout the map, by defeating phantoms, and in some adventures you can earn them as a prize at the end.
The Diamond Exchange. If you have some extra diamonds that you don’t know what to do with, use the Diamond Exchange! You can buy up to 15,000 gems at a relatively low price. You can find the Diamond Exchange in the Diamond Shop next to the mannequins!
If you’re a member, host a gem shop! Each shop can store 24 items, so if you list every item for 1,000 gems, you get 24,000 gems if your shop sells out! Many Jammers prefer gem shops over diamond ones, so they are more likely to buy from your gem shop.
Saving
Stock up on gold bricks. I know what you might be thinking, buying gold bricks is a total waste! However, gold bricks recycle for 3,000 gems! So whenever you’re running low on gems, you can recycle some gold bricks!
Plan out a budget. I know budgeting can be quite confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, budgeting will become an Animal Jam way of life! Instead of going on a shopping spree and buying everything that catches your eye, pick out a select few items you want to purchase and write them down. Buy the items you wrote down in the span of a few days. That way, you can earn back the gems you spent within those few days.
