Block Break Guide

Stumped on the Animal Jam (formerly known as Play Wild) minigame? Want to know some tips, tricks, and secrets about the game? This article is right for you! First, let’s go over the basics.

Block Break is an arcade style minigame located in the land Sarepia Forest. Your main objective is to break all of the blocks floating around the screen with the ball and trampoline. The ball will bounce on the trampoline, hitting and breaking blocks occasionally. The ball MUST hit the trampoline on its way down. If not, you lose one of three lives.

Powerups:

Plus Sign: The Plus Sign Powerup grants you one extra life. Slide the trampoline under this powerup to obtain it. The same goes with every other powerup. The Plus Sign comes in handy when you’re running low on extra balls, or towards the end of a risky game.

Triple Dots: The Triple Dots powerup grants you three extra balls for a short period of time. Unlike the Plus Sign, which stores the extra life for later, all three of the balls are playing at once. It can be quite useful in a tricky game, but it’s your job to make sure you don’t lose them.

Expansion: The Expansion powerup widens the trampoline, thus making gameplay much easier. With a wider trampoline, it’s much harder for the ball to escape. However, when another powerup is obtained, the trampoline goes back to its normal size.

Reverse: The Reverse powerup isn’t one you’d particularly want to be stuck with. It reverses any powerup in use and slows down the game. Though, it CAN be useful when a game is running a bit fast and you want to slow down. Just remember that it can reverse any powerup in use.

Types of Bricks:

Colored: The colored bricks are the easiest to work with, for they break in one hit. I recommend working your way to the sides and top of the brick mass, as it’s easier to break multiple blocks at once when doing that.

Stone: The stone bricks are the second easiest to work with, they break in two hits. To break them more easily, keep the trampoline in the same spot when aiming. When doing this, there’s a chance the ball will go straight up, hitting the stone once more.

Iron: The iron bricks are the most difficult to work with. No matter how many times you hit one, they never break. These bricks mainly act as an obstacle, complicating gameplay. The best way to get around them is to ignore them.

That’s all for today’s minigame guide! I hope you found these tips, tricks, and secrets helpful. What minigames do you want to be featured next? Leave us a comment and the team will do our best to get to them. With all that being said, i’ll see you next week! Bye!
